The Poster

Precedent image

My stance on Tranz Metro is that they are unrelaible/fickle.  The opposing stance is that they are the future as they are environmentally friendly, they take up less room than roads and they take less work to upgrade and repair.  But they cannot be the future if they are unreliable therefore I chose the writing to say "Trains CAN be the future" if Tranz Metro picks up their act.  The left side of the train is grey, brown and falling apart showing their unreliability.  The train is coming through this oval into the future, showing the new Matangi train, using the colour green to represent it being environmentally friendly.  In the background is the map of the Wellington train lines.

I chose to place my poster on the wall of Ngauranga station as it is quite a run down station, showing the unreliability.  I placed it under Tranz Metros slogan "Go the Train" to show that I'm trying to encourage Tranz Metro to be better, to be the future.  I wanted to have the train tracks and yellow line in the background so that you immediatly associate it with a train station.  I also wanted to include the arch over the train tracks as it was an important feature in my photo of the word.  I took the photo on a overcast day as I thought it related well to my stance.
